East Providence students are honored at annual Riverside Middle School awards ceremony

EAST PROVIDENCE — Riverside Middle School held its annual President’s Award for Excellence evening Thursday, June 13, which honored members of its graduating class from Grade 8.

Tess Amore was recognized by principal Steve Prew as the student with the top cumulative grade point average among the eighth graders departing Riverside Middle School this term.

RMS Principal Stephen Prew announced the following awards:

Presidential Award, presented to students must earn a grade point average of 90 or above for three years: Tess Amore, Ava Atwell, Stefan Augustyn, Victoria Bernardo, Victoria Castle, Maegan Charette, Lexie Charette, Elliot Charron, Edward Crevier, Marissa DaSilva, Erin Donnelly, LoydMilla dosReis, Jessica Doucette, Emma Drolet, Haley Fanara, Jordan Farnsworth, Gregory Fasano, Sean Feeney, Julia Ferreira, Allison Forand, Nicolas Friend, Alaina Hail, Julia McAdams, Olivia Peixinho, Carly Pereira, Jamie Perry, Alexandra Sargo, Lily Silveira, Nathan Silveira, McKenzie Thibeault, Allana Turcotte, Katlin Vanner and Sydney Vilardi.

Earning Highest Average Awards in the subjects of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies were the following students:  Tess Amore, Victoria Castle, Maegan Charette, Haley Fanara, Julia Ferreira, Allison Forand, Candace Leonard, Sydney Vilardi.

Ms. Amore also received the Dennison Award, given to the student with the highest cumulative grade point average over her three-year period at RMS.
