Judging took place over a period of time after school Thursday. Parents and family members were next able to view the projects. An awards ceremony capped off the event.
According to Silver Spring teacher Cathy Cabral, all fourth and fifth graders, 82 in total, participated in the fair. The students were judged on the organization and planning in their science notebooks, their research report, their backboard/visual and their oral presentation to the judges. The judges were made up of teachers, retired teachers/staff and other members of the community.
